The Seventh Day, God Rests

1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and aall the host of them. 2And bon the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.

Psalms 102:25

25 cOf old you laid the foundation of the earth,
and dthe heavens are the work of your hands.

Isaiah 44:24

7I form light and create darkness,
I make well-being and qcreate calamity;
I am the Lord, who does all these things.

Isaiah 48:13

13My hand rlaid the foundation of the earth,
and my right hand sspread out the heavens;
twhen I call to them,
they stand forth together.

Jeremiah 10:11-12

11Thus shall you say to them: u“The gods who did not make the heavens and the earth vshall perish from the earth and from under the heavens.”

12 xIt is he who ymade the earth by his power,
zwho established the world by his wisdom,
and aaby his understanding stretched out the heavens.
